Little Annoyances

Today I checked my credit card statement online, only to find a random charge of $14.95. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it bothered me. I had used my credit card last month to check my credit report, I wanted to make sure that my disput I had written to the credit agencies, had gone through, and they'd upped my credit score (which they did, I'm happy to report I have excellent credit), but apparently somewhere in the fine print, it was a re-occuring monthy membership charge, which I thoght was just a one time charge. So after looking at the website and scanning the pages to find a way to cancel (which they make very hard to find), I finally found a phone number. I just hate calling to cancel for anything because they always do a song and dance around the issue of canceling. This lady today was unreal, I literally talked to her for a good 1o minutes, while continueally telling her all I wanted to do was cancel it, then she'd go into another shpeal on how having this was a great too to check and she'd discount my membership, and on and on and on, until finally I snapped. I was exhausted, didn't feel well, on my way to a meeting I knew would run late, and just wanted to freakin get off the phone. I think she finally got the point, and I got it canceled. But really, that was a good 20 min conversation that only needed to take 2 minutes. I just kind of feel for the girl, she is just doing her job, like every telemarketer, trying to sell the product or have you keep the product, and I can only imagine how many people like myself, just want to be done with it!

Sicky

Yes, this is exactly how I feel. Gross. I was told today that the average cold lasts 10 days....great, that means I'm only on day 5, and have 5 more to go. Why does it take so long for my body to fight off this bugger! It just keeps traveling all over, from my head to my nose, then my throat and now in my chest, I have this cough I can't rid of! It really isn't fun, because there's so much I need to be getting done, and when I get home from work, which tonight was 9pm :(, all I want to do is lay in bed because I'm so exhausted. It's funny how just a little bacteria can make you so wiped out! Hopefully by the weekend, I'm feeling back to myself!

In other news, my roommate moved out on Monday, so I really need to be cleaning my place for my new roommate that moves in on Saturday! I'm glad I finally found another roommate, but I was really looking forward to this week to just chill out by myself (well, with Tuck too of course), but alas, I'm really just trying to sleep and get better! I did use my friends carpet cleaner and clean my carpets....you know you are getting old when you are actually excited to clean your carpets! haha.

In the next post I believe it will be time to update you on the good ol' love life, or lack there of...well I guess lack there of of decent men! I've got a few stories for ya, but I'm just too tired to get into it now!

Hooray!!

Just a little update, and yes I am bragging a bit, so if this makes you want to vomit, I suggest you stop reading.

I've lost 11 pounds!!! I'm so excited that it's actually working. I put on some jeans the other day that haven't fit well in a long time, and they were actually loose. Seriously, I think this is one of the best feelings a woman can have. When you don't see any results, you just want to stop, but when you do see some changes it really keeps you going. So I may not be completely bikini ready by Mexico in a month, but I think it will be a little better than beached whale bikini ;) hehe.

On to a more down note, I'm sick :( Boo. I've been so stressed out lately, hence the last post, and now I have a cold. It came on quickly when I was working late on Wednesday and really went into full blown cold mode on Thursday night. So I went to target to get some drugs and some remedies (to the tune of $80, seriously, why is Vitamin C $17 for a small bottle, you'd think it was as rare as gold to find)!! So with my garlic pills, 2,000 miligrams of Vitamin C, Airborne, Nyquil and lots of juice, I'm hoping I can kick this quickly! I had made plans to have dinner with my friend Jackie last night, and had to cancel, but found out she's Pregnant! I'm so happy for them, now there will be a baby near by! Woohoo, I'll have to get my babysitting fixes now!

Well Have a good Saturday everyone, I'm off to the vet and then some much needed rest before I have to work all day tomorrow :(

Stress

I am a person that gets stressed out, pretty easily actually. And it really does crazy things to your body! I've started to learn that when I get stressed out I have to redirect that some place else or it will drive me crazy. Especially with in this last week, between, work, personal life, finances, etc. I've been pretty stressed out. So I've been going to the gym, and as much as I never thought I'd say I like going to the gym, I actually do. When I put those ear phones in and put on some pump up music, I just want to run until all the stress is gone.

Obviously, it doesn't take it all away, but for those minutes or hours I'm working out, I feel good and the stress is gone. I sat in the sauna after my work out today and it was a great place to clear my mind, if only for a few minutes.

I'm trying to find other ways to "de-stress" as well so if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them! :)

Quote

Well, it's the beginning of a long week, many late nights at work, weekend events, and endless snow. So I found a quote that I love, and strive to do every day.

"You wanna know what living life to the fullest actually is? It's waking up on a Monday morning with no complaints. It's knowing you always deserve to laugh. It's doing what feels right no matter what. It's doing what you want, no matter how stupid you look. It's about being yourself, because no one can tell you you're doing it wrong".

A Fluffy Suprise

Well Tucker has finally hit the "bad puppy" phase.

I have been leaving him out of his kennel and just in my room all day while I'm at work for the last week, and he had been doing so good.....until today.
So when I got home from work today, this is what I found:

He had chewed a hole in my comforter and taken a bunch of stuffing out! Not only that, he also decided to chew the corner of my pillow case. So I spent the night going to Target and Herbergers trying to find new bedding. I couldn't find any so I ordered one online from JC Penny...guess I'll be sleeping in a world of stuffing for the next few days until it's delivered!
He knew he was a bad boy, he's been very cautious with me all night!

The case of the Missing Avacado

Well, a few avacados went missing last night......
Robyn and I had just went to the grocery store after our Yoga class to get some ingredients for a very healthy meal we had planned! We were making Ceviche and Taquitos. We decided to double the recipes so we had some left overs to eat at work. We got all the ingredients and went back to my place. As I'm walking up the stairs from my garage to get into my house, my grocery bag, filled with all of ou produce (avacados, tomatoes, onions, etc.), breaks and 2 avacados roll down the stairs. I pick them up and put them in my purse and the struggle in the door to let Robyn in the front.
Halfway through making dinner we realize we only bought 2 avacados and we should have had 4 (even though I slightly remember grabbing 4, because getting the avacados was my job).
The missing fact in this story right now, both Tucker and Crosby were out running around like crazy dogs the entire time we're cooking.
So about a 1/2 hour later we're now making the taquitos and I realize the dogs are being very very, suspiciously, quiet. So I go to find them, and alas, the missing avacados! Tucker and Crosby were eating one of them and then the light bulb goes off and I remember I put them in my purse because they had fallen out. So with one avacado almost eaten by the dogs, I found the second one and added it to dinner!
Even though we were missing 1 of the ingredients, it all turned out pretty darn good!
