Little Annoyances
Today I checked my credit card statement online, only to find a random charge of $14.95. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it bothered me. I had used my credit card last month to check my credit report, I wanted to make sure that my disput I had written to the credit agencies, had gone through, and they'd upped my credit score (which they did, I'm happy to report I have excellent credit), but apparently somewhere in the fine print, it was a re-occuring monthy membership charge, which I thoght was just a one time charge. So after looking at the website and scanning the pages to find a way to cancel (which they make very hard to find), I finally found a phone number. I just hate calling to cancel for anything because they always do a song and dance around the issue of canceling. This lady today was unreal, I literally talked to her for a good 1o minutes, while continueally telling her all I wanted to do was cancel it, then she'd go into another shpeal on how having this was a great too to check and she'd discount my membership, and on and on and on, until finally I snapped. I was exhausted, didn't feel well, on my way to a meeting I knew would run late, and just wanted to freakin get off the phone. I think she finally got the point, and I got it canceled. But really, that was a good 20 min conversation that only needed to take 2 minutes. I just kind of feel for the girl, she is just doing her job, like every telemarketer, trying to sell the product or have you keep the product, and I can only imagine how many people like myself, just want to be done with it!
